A united, community-centered support system —a “safety blanket”— woven from the
people and partners who walk alongside Metanoia’s guests with dignity, compassion, and
consistency.
The Friends of Metanoia
Metanoia is supported by a living network of volunteers, donors, and partners who work together to ensure every guest is met with care, connection, and dignity.
These “friend circles” represent the many ways people show up — offering presence, resources, support, and community. Together, they form a safety net of belonging, so no one walks alone.
Below are the circles that make this work possible:
Circle of Compassion — Volunteers
Our Circle of Compassion volunteers provide direct support to guests, build meaningful relationships, serve meals, and offer steady, caring presence.
Circle of Generosity — Donors
Our Circle of Generosity donors fund our work, contribute essential goods, and help sustain both programming and emergency needs throughout the season.
Circle of Care — Internal Partners
Our Circle of Connection includes partners such as NORA, traditional shelters, and mental health providers who extend care and support beyond our walls.
Circle of cONNECTION— External Partners
Our Circle of Care includes staff, outreach workers, and service coordinators who provide daily and weekly hands-on support, alongside partner organizations such as Malachi Center and Old Stone Church.
Circle of Advocacy — Advocates & Community Leaders
Our Circle of Advocacy includes community leaders and advocates who work toward systemic change and uplift the voices of our guests in broader conversations.
Circle of Faith & Healing — Spiritual Care Partners
Our Circle of Faith & Healing offers chaplaincy, healing arts, and emotional and spiritual care for guests seeking grounding, comfort, and connection.
