  • Reports to: Site Supervisors and Operations Director

    Salary: $16/hr

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a Site Coordinator, you will hold a leadership position on our team, working together to accommodate individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

    Site Coordinators provide trauma-informed care and services in a flexible, compassionate, and responsible manner. Direct support and coaching to team members is a vital element of this position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrate personal and interpersonal qualities that support the core values and mission of The Metanoia Project.

    • Commitment to provide services in a manner that is welcoming and appropriate to the special needs of those affected by trauma and severe mental illness.

    • Work to build an environment that is supportive and conducive to growth and recovery.

    • Complete all duties assigned on the coordinator checklist; complete and submit coordinator checklist in an accurate manner each shift.

    • Oversee and distribute radios to team members.

    • Provide management, support, and coaching to your designated team.

    • Ensure the team is taking initiative to build compassionate relationships with each guest throughout their shift while simultaneously enforcing guest rules and upholding Metanoia procedures.

    • Ensure the building is set-up properly for guests to eat meals, have coffee, visit service providers, and sleep.

    • Build compassionate relationships with guests while providing care, coaching, assistance, and direct services.

    • Ensure all shift reports are documented accurately and submitted at the end of every shift to Operations Manager and Executive Director.

    • Stay accessible and visible to staff and guests during your shift.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    This is a seasonal role (November 15 - April 15) with non-traditional work hours, including weekends and holidays. Shifts are from 6PM - 1AM and 1AM - 8AM. Staff must be available for on-call emergency service.

    Salary: $18/hr

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a Site Supervisor, you will serve as a key leader within The Metanoia Project’s seasonal shelter operations, ensuring that each site runs safely, smoothly, and compassionately. You will oversee 3–4 staff members, manage site logistics and electronic equipment, and provide trauma-informed leadership to create a supportive environment for guests experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

    Your role combines team supervision, site management, and direct guest engagement, fostering both accountability and care throughout every shift.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Leadership & Supervision

    • Supervise 3–4 shelter staff members, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to maintain a high level of service and professionalism.

    • Ensure staff carry out their duties responsibly and maintain trauma-informed, compassionate interactions with guests.

    • Foster clear communication, collaboration, and teamwork among staff.

    • Hold pre- and post-shift check-ins to communicate priorities, updates, and shift expectations.

    Site Operations

    • Open and close the shelter site, ensuring the space is properly set up and secured at the beginning and end of each shift.

    • Oversee use and maintenance of all site electronics, including radios, computers, and security systems.

    • Ensure the building is organized and functional for meals, coffee service, provider visits, and guest rest areas.

    • Complete and submit the site supervisor checklist each shift accurately and on time.

    • Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

    Guest Care

    • Build and maintain compassionate relationships with guests while enforcing shelter rules and procedures.

    • Promote a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-oriented environment for individuals with complex needs, including those affected by trauma or severe mental illness.

    • Respond appropriately to emergencies or conflicts in collaboration with other staff.

    Reporting & Communication

    • Ensure all shift reports are accurate, detailed, and submitted promptly to the Operations Manager and Executive Director.

    • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding incidents, staffing needs, and guest concerns.

    • Stay visible, accessible, and engaged with both guests and staff throughout your shift.
